"Margie's Stuff" is a new sub-site of Ransom Fellowship that gives access to her work and writing: enter here
If you came to Toad Hall and let me invite you in for coffee, (or whatever drink you seriously favor, no limits, honest) I’d pull a pan of cranberry scones from the oven and take you to the back porch to sit in the sunshine; we could then listen and talk to one another about things that matter to the heart. Sure, I’m keen on relationships, recipes, broken world, best books, music and jokes. But our talk wouldn’t be all girly-girly either, because I enjoy more than chocolate and crocheting. I love the androgynous, like stone walls and theology and guns.
Since it’s not likely that you’ll make it to our door, this sub-site for Ransom Fellowship is a gathering of what I’ve written over the years. Two main themes seem to motivate me: First, that Christianity and the love of Christ can make a true difference to everyday life. And if it doesn’t? Let’s bail. And second, how can my desire to take you in, feed you and love you be authentically expressed through the written word in an age of technology and social media? (I’m still working on that.)
Margie’s Stuff has been developed with the help of Ethan Calvert, a software guy who patiently worked with a design cretin – me. Anita Gorder, Ransom’s Resident Assistant, has been tirelessly formatting and posting. Denis, my husband, is a constant advocate for my writing. As we continue working on this site, we hope you will give us feedback and that you will enjoy finding what’s funny, what’s holy, what’s suffering in everyday life.
